Qualification
The course of fire was developed by DPS and is used by all Texas License to Carry Instructors:
- 20 rounds are fired from the three-yard line
- 20 rounds from the 7-yard line
- 10 from the 15-yard line.
If you wish to qualify with a semi automatic weapon, but do not have one, a few are available to rent for $20.00. For safety reasons a table will be provided for your weapon and ammunition for the purpose of reloading. Remember to bring your own eye protection.
PLEASE NOTE: In order to facilitate a quick and effortless qualification, please know your handgun and make sure it is in good working order. We do reserve the right to prohibit the firing of an unstable or unsafe weapon.
